Sometime Today, shahazad at linuxplanet.nu assembled some asciibets to say:

Install your system as usual, but choose not to use lilo.  Instead,
create a boot disk.  Then, boot from that disk, connect to the net, and
download the latest version of lilo.  Install this version, and then
write lilo to your master boot record.  It should work.
