Do you have the source code? Recompile.

Modules are sensitive to version numbers.

2.4.2 is different from 2.4.2-2 etc.

Since you don't seem to be compiling your own kernel, get those compiled
for a system like yours.

For example: If you have  RH-7.2, go to the site of the provider of the
driver, and look for a package for your own distribution. (This is helpful
in case the source code is not available)
