Hi All,

The second phase of the GNU/Linux training program for high school 
teachers will happen this week and the next .

This week the dates are - Sep 11, 12 (Fri, Sat)
For next week the dates are - Sep 17, Sep 19 (Thu, Sat, Fri is a holiday).

This will be held in the SSA office in Nrupathunga road. The sessions 
will be from 10.30am to 5.30pm. We will be using Debian edu for the 
training.

The rough list of items to be covered is mentioned in the mail below . 
Request volunteers to come and help us out in the training.

Dear All,

The Phase two of the ICT at Schools training program on GNU/Linux for the 
high school teachers was scheduled to happen one month after the phase 
one. However it did not happen due to some logistics issues like venue 
and working lunch etc. SSA now, has agreed to give us the training room 
and the working lunch for the Phase Two, batch one. And we need to 
complete this before the exams and the holidays start, else it would be 
delayed further more. So the program is scheduled to happen this week on 
dates 10th, 11th and 12th. The teachers would be receiving the circulars 
latest by tomorrow.

As per our earlier discussion, the topics to be covered during the Phase 
2 are

  1. Refresher course on all topics presented in Phase 1
  2. Burning CDs, Setting up a printer, Basic troubleshooting
  3. Creating, Editing and viewing Documents in Kannada
  4. Using the terminal

Can we have the volunteers/trainers meet tomorrow at our office?
Please suggest.
