[Fsf-kerala] Free Software in Higher Secondary

Yes, it will be good if we can suggest a new syllabus.

Don't we need to define the objective of teaching/learning Computer Science
/ Computer Application in higher secondary classes, before we start
discussing about the software/tools to be included in syllabus?

In my opinion, the objectives can be

1. introduce the subject as a foundation course in Computer Science /
Application for students aspiring to do higher studies in computer science /
application

OR

2. to enable the students to use Computers as a tool in higher studies

OR

3. to enable students to get some computer related jobs after completing +2
course


I do not think that it is possible to mix up all these objectives, and
design a good syllabus.

Hope every one will contribute to this discussion.

PS : I do not have a formal training in pedagogy or the science of
education. So my opinion about the objectives, of teaching/learning Computer
Science/Application in higher secondary classes, may be totally wrong.
