Yes, it will be good if we can suggest a new syllabus.<br><br>Don't we need to define the objective of teaching/learning Computer Science / Computer Application in higher secondary classes, before we start discussing about the software/tools to be included in syllabus?<br>
<br>In my opinion, the objectives can be <br><br>1. introduce the subject as a foundation course in Computer Science / Application for students aspiring to do higher studies in computer science / application<br><br>OR<br>
<br>2. to enable the students to use Computers as a tool in higher studies<br><br>OR<br><br>3. to enable students to get some computer related jobs after completing +2 course<br><br><br>I do not think that it is possible to mix up all these objectives, and design a good syllabus. <br>

</div>Thank you, Renni for the document. I would also suggest that, when we<br>
write, we can also suggest changes in the syllabus that would<br>
introduce sensible alternative applications/software. For instance, I<br>
thought it would be interesting and useful to teach some tools like<br>
audacity, cinelerra and advanced image editing to, say, students of<br>
Humanities, Octave, gnuplot and xmaxima (and maybe Python) to students<br>
of Physics and Maths, and so on. Please give your suggestions.<br>
