Thanks Sugathan for that info on AbiWord. Any clues on StarOffice ?

I use Caldera at home, and RH at office.
In the RH box, for instance I found that the following works for ttf.
Inside /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType where I moved the fonts,
I used
# ttmkfdir -m 100 -o fonts.scale
# cat fonts.scale > fonts.dir
# /etc/rc.d/init.d/xfs restart

(I did add the FontPath in the /etc/XF86Config)
