NEW DELHI: The government on Tuesday launched an integrated software
application for managing panchayati raj system in the country.

The application titled SWARAJ was launched by the Union Minister for
Panchayati Raj Mani Shankar Aiyar at the Microsoft - Government
Leadership Summit in the capital on Tuesday.

 This application would help overcome the problems of multiple
applications and absence of proper Management Information Systems
(MIS), thus making the process of technological implementation in
rural area easier and more transparent.
