Which version of OO.o?

Printer installation is  easier, IMHO under version 1.1*.  Did you try
/usr/lib/openoffice/spadmin.bin?   (of course,  it  should be  invoked
from the spadmin shell script in dotopenoffice* directory in $HOME.

Try the `generic printer' option too. Chances are that you have chosen
the wrong  print resolution  (60x72 or something  like that,  when you
ought ot have used 60x60 dpi).
