You are asking about kmail setup or debian setup ?
for Debian setup this is the link

and if you already have debian installed then just type
apt-get install kmail
from the command line. Also kmail is in testing ( or unstable ) in debian so
you have to modify /etc/sources.list file to include testing distribution.
