 Hello,

Equitable Tourism Options (EQUATIONS) is a research, campaign and advocacy
organisation based in Bengaluru. We study social, cultural, economic and
environmental impacts of tourism on local communities. We are registered as
a non-profit Society under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act of 1960.

We are committed to Free and Open Source Software, and recently moved more
than 90% of our active workstations to Ubuntu from a proprietary platform.

Given our small team size, one of the key areas of our work is to be able
to build networks - with individuals, groups, organisations and
institutions. As a result, we have a database of many contacts - currently
in the range of 3000, and growing steadily all the time. We are looking for
a user-friendly and easy-to-use way of entering, categorising, maintaining
and retrieving this data, based on simple (sometimes advanced) search
criteria. A few features we would like to have would include -

1. A "mail merge" type functionality of email addresses (for sending out
information, newsletters etc.)
2. Printing out address labels
3. Creating reports based on criteria.

We are looking for technical help / advice / suggestions on finding and
implementing a solution. Given our budget constraints, we are looking for
volunteers to help us out.

The requirement is pretty urgent. If someone's interested in helping, or in
knowing more, please contact Rajiv on techsupport at equitabletourism.org

Thanks,
Raghu
