[FSUG-Bangalore] OT : "Bhaiyya, phool le lo na bhaiyya, teen ke bas paanch rupaay" and bihar floods

Dear All,
 
Today some friends who are volunteers in free software activities in blr
along with others from bgvs went on a street collection.
 
There were about 16 of them . All young folks from different software
and non software related jobs in blr.
 
They went around collecting money and raising awareness on the situation
in bihar. 
 
Today they collected about 9000 Rs. Now all these 16 volunteers are
charged up and want to work more. 
 
They are willing to collect in apartment complexes and are willing to
spare their weekends for the same. 
 
If any of you are living in apartment complexes and get approval for
collection then do let us know.  these youngsters will contact you and
engage in a collection next weekend. 
 
i personally know some of these folks and the money will be put to good
use. 
 
okay , whats the reason for inspiration : two little girls who were seen
selling flowers on brigade road - contributed Rs.10 each and took
receipts. 
 
though online donations and orgn centered efforts can raise more
money..there is a sense of dedication and more awareness .. when people
work on foot..the old fashioned way ;)
