Note: There are multiple positions for the description below.

Red Hat is looking for an experienced engineer with a strong technical
background to work on software engineering for Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
The position requires working on system internals including creating
tooling related to Red Hat Enterprise Linux system internals.
Proficiency in creating and using APIs. Understanding of system ABI and
standards are required as part of the role. Capable of working with
upstream Open Source projects and building community around tools created.

The current position of Software Engineer is expected to possess the
following skills:

* Demonstrated expertise in at least one object oriented programming
language (Python or Ruby) with some experience of other technologies,
scripting languages, databases and software engineering
* Familiarity with init systems
* Must be familiar with the general software development release cycle,
source management and defect management methodologies in Linux environment
* General awareness of RPM internals
* General awareness of SystemTap or related tools
* Familiarity with POSIX guidelines
* Understanding of configuration management principles
* Exposure to Free and Open Source Software Development Process
* The candidate is required to have 1+ year of relevant work experience
