The Indian Patent Office is organizing a Stakeholders Meeting on Draft
Patent Manual in Bangalore. The exact date has not been specified. However,
27th August 2008 has been mentioned as the most likely date. The FOSS
community believes that copyrights are good enough to protect software and
that software patents prevent independent innovation. For a short article on
