"Under the first UP project in Bangladesh, Microsoft will support
community ICT training to more than 2,000 disadvantaged youth every
year and facilitate information access at the grassroots-level.
Microsoft's contribution includes US$ 90,000 in cash grants, software,
training curriculum and certifications for rural communities. Eight
existing rural telephone shops and ICT training facilities will be
converted to full Internet enabled Community Technology Learning
Centres with LEARN Foundation providing Internet over its Smart
Villages Wireless LAN infrastructures."
