The person with whom i was in touch is out of station, hoping to see him
today or tomorrow. I will ask him to introduce us to groups there.

That is a mistake we developers often make abt free software movement.
It is true that free software movement is abt software which is of
practical use. But more than that it is a philosophy and political view
on ownership and other aspects knowledge. It is a movement against a
social injustice.

NGOs works against some form of social injustice or other. Even though
different organisations have different, even conflicting, perspective.
We should strike that chord first. If we do that even if they dont
migrate to free software they will support us, based on ideology.

Organisations like KSSP/BGVS dont have people skilled enough to maintain
their IT infrastructure. Their priority is not IT either. So if we try
to help them get their IT infrastructure to free software that will
demand too much resource from us. We better wait till the demand comes
from them. But they can help us spread the word. They will have good
network with influential people. By associating with them we will get
access to their network.

We need to learn from mistake made by Mexican school project.

BTW, some one pls announce about this list to fsf-friends. Also mail
may be send to blug admin, if he thinks fit may be fwd to their list.

regards,
arun.
