Raghu is mistaken.  His name is considered for including in the
board, but as far as I know RMS has not requirested him nor did
we take his concent.  He is not a member of the board at the
moment, but the board wishes he be.

BTW he is the director of language technology group at IIIT
hyderabad.  He and his group has already contributed a lot of
very useful code under GPL even before many of us are into it.
Do check it out at http://www.iiit.net.  To brief his groups
contributions are mostly in the area of Natural Language
Processing and Machine Translation.  I collaborate with his group
in the area of e-education, and planning to use their technology
for our centre's portal site for multi-lingual applications.
Another important news to all of you is that at IIIT Hyderabad,
students are asked to do all the projects using freesoftware.
