Let us come up with a specification for the logo to start with. If
someone within the community can then do the artwork, that would be
great, but if that is not possible then at least if we have the
specification then FSF-I can hire someone to do the artwork.

Can someone suggest a uniquely Indian symbol of freedom which could be
combined with a GNU Head to form the logo? The logo could then be
"ringed" by the caption "Free Software Foundation" in the upper
semi-circle and "India" at the bottom.

And maybe we should also come up with some kind of a "catch phrase" to
accompany the logo. Here's one:

        Free Software for a Free India. Because Proprietary Software
        Enslaves!
