This is where the difference between home user (the one who dosen't pay) and 
the corporate user (one who pays) comes in. The corporate user payed because he 
dosen't want any trouble while using the software. He has other work and fixing
the software he uses is not his priority (Although nothing stops him in any way).

So for nearly all practical situations, selling software (free/non free) for a
price brings in revenue. Why not sell free software then?
