The most important fact that people have to be aware of is that the
operating system is GNU and not linux. Popularity of this OS or the
number of people using it is not, and never was the objective behind
developing a free OS. If people are not aware of their freedoms, 
what do they benefit from this free OS. (forget technical merrits,
since all OSes have their technical merrits). 

Please make it a practice to say GNU/Linux (or just GNU if GNU/Linux is
too long) when you speak of the OS. Otherwise we will be defeating its
fundamental goal.
