Btw, I did not get the question by the way when it comes to "which are
readily available in india ".

Most of the softwares are readily available on the net. All you have
to do is have a decent Net connection or challenge a Free software
evangelist that such software does not exist for Open source and it
will be available as a reply ;-P

Jokes apart, all you have to do is, ask a software evangelist with
good network speed to download it. Most of them will be happy to
arrange it somehow.
