i had a similar conversation with someone very pro-patents.

i have just my two cents :

Is money more imp. than saving millions of lives? Will no money stop R
& D? Then in the same vein, there wud be no R& D in the FLOSS sector
too... Then how did cool good apps like Firefox come up?

Err... just a silly analogy :D
