Yes, I agree.

Free Software in Tamil should be _Sudanthiram_ Software and NOT
viduthalai.

There are lot of difference between the two words if you contemplate. 
Viduthalai would be like Freedom from some form of a clutch.
Sudanthiram signifies Freedom as a concept.
