The IOSN is producing a series of primers on Free/Open Source Software
(FOSS). The primers serve as introductory documents to FOSS in general, as
well as covering particular topic areas in greater detail. Their purpose is
to raise FOSS awareness, particularly among policy-makers, practitioners and
educators.

Localization Toolkit

IOSN is in the process of developing localization toolkits that will aid
localization of FOSS software.

Project workspace

For localization projects that require an online presence and workspace,
contact us so that you can host and manage your project on IOSN. If you
already have a project, let us know so that localization projects in
different countries can collaborate on localization efforts.

Training Materials

IOSN also produces free training materials for Free/Open Software.  Training
materials for end users are currently in development.

* User Guide to Using the Linux Desktop

This user guide is meant as an introductory guide for a user to use a modern
personal computer (PC) running the Linux operating system.  The main aim is
to provide a self-learning guide on how to use a modern Linux desktop
system. It assumes that the user has no prior knowledge of Linux or PC
usage.

iosn-general Mailing List

The goals of the mailing list is to help foster more regional communication
and co-operation. Especially to provide a channel in which users from
countries where FOSS is relatively unknown can get help from the
international FOSS community, as well as help each other.
