Hai to all,
	IT@SCHOOL news

The DPI introduced one online Examination System for the
students of IX std. This Softexam 1.0 is developed by a cochin based
company for DPI.The problem is that this software need Windows
98/2000/XP as the OS and MS office 2000/XP orOpenoffice1.1
(forunately). As you know here at Kannur there are many schools

which are not having Windows.(All are LTSP based LABs).What
they will do. There was a software 'S S L C DATA ENTRY management
system developed by NIC which requs WINDOWS & VB for data entry of
SSLC Registration. The above mentioned schools have to go for third
party for the Data entry even they had the Computers.

Some schools can't install Softexam 1.0 even with windows 98
and MS Office 2000 .The authorities refer them to Upgrade to XP !!!
The Govt schools have machines even 486 and how to upgrade to XP !!.
