Malayalam browsing in Firefox is improved using suruma opentype fonts along withpatches for pango module for indic scripts.The patched module is currently compiled for Ubuntu-5.10(Breezy Badger).Malayalam typing can be done by selecting Malayalam layout from GNOME keyboard applet. thanks suresh p.
