Install malyalam ttf font. In debian issue this as root
apt-get install ttf-malyalam-fonts

Then launch firefox and go to tools-extensions-Get_More_Extensions.
Search and install the extension named "Padma"

Restart firefox and check a malayalam site. (ml.wikipedia.org)
